In
1976 Howe introduced the first aftermarket panel
made specifically for
stock car racing for the Camaro. Thirty years later
Howe is the first to
produce a Duct Work System made specifically for
IMCA / UMP style
modifieds. The Howe system is made in three separate
pieces that can
be used individually or in combination. The system
is made to fit large or
small GM Metric frames as well as the popular 70-72
Chevelle. The Howe
panels are made with flexible poly-propylene for
durability.
The Base Pan is to be used primarily in asphalt
applications to replace the
time consuming and easily damaged custom fabricated
aluminum ducts.
The Inlet Valance is made to be functional and
good looking. For asphalt
applications the molded grill opening can be cut
out for a screen to be
installed from the back side without a trim ring.
For dirt applications the air
can be taken from underneath.
The Duct Lid fits tightly to the Base Pan or can
be used independently.
The lid ties in the space between the Inlet and
the hood. The Lid is designed
with raised ridges on the outside edges to add
strength and has an intake
indention molded in the center as an optional second
inlet. Both the Lid
and the Inlet panels are available in popular colors;
the Base Pan is made
in black only. |
