Any of our chassis in the "bare" form are made up of a frame and cage assembly with basic mounts, an 1/8" steel floor plan, and jack posts. They have all of the suspension mounts plus mounts for the radiator, seat, harness, ballast, pedals, and one drive shaft loop. The Offset and ASA models offer a 4130 chromoly tubing option for an added charge. Chromoly tubing is not lighter than the standard mild steel, but it is stronger allowing substitution of some thinner wall tubing. Chromoly chassis require heat-treating, mild steel chassis may be heat treated as well to eliminate welding and mechanical stresses; but it is optional. A Metalax sonic stress relief option is available for less than heat-treating but it eliminates only the weld stress.
