The upper latch bar is solid 1/4" x 1" with an aircraft style latch. We now have two different chassis mount kits. The original comes with a 1/2" diameter tube while the new Nascar legal mount kit comes with a solid 1/2" rod. Weld in chassis mounts are 1/8" x 1.
