SS FAMILY OF FRAMES

The SS design frame was developed specifically for the “soft spring” set ups. These frames having excessive bump steer, camber gain or roll center movement. Since it’s introduction we have develop variations of the design to suit different applications.

NEW OPTIONS FOR SS

OP-15 - Adjustable Lower - allows you to move the lower mount up to an inch.
OP-09 - Raised Cross Member - raised 1/2" to allow for added suspension travel
OP-07 - Fixed Sway Bar Mount Tube - locates the sway bar in a fixed mounted tube.
OP-08 - Conventional Coil - Mounts for 5" conventional coil springs are added.
OP-31 - Wide Radiator - Front rails are dog legged from 29" to 31-1/2" for the South West.

ORIGINAL SS

The original version is made for use with an adjustable upper a-frame to adjust camber and caster. The mounts are vertically slotted for anti-dive and roll center adjustments. With standard components the tread width at hub face is 64" with wide 5 and 63" with 5x5.

SS CONVERSION RAISED CROSS MEMBER KIT

Our raised SS cross member provides an added 1/2" of ground clearance. The sides are made with 2" x 2" 1/4" wall. The bottom section is made from 1" thick solid bar stock to add front weight down low.

CROSS SHAFT SS

The same as the original except it is made with our new adjustable mounts for using cross shaft a-frames. Requires shims for adjusting camber and slotted a-frames to adjust caster. An added 4 lbs. comes from the 11 gage tubing and gussets used to support the upper a-frame mounts.
