The entire clamp, band, screw, and housing is made of 316 stainless steel. The pressed worm housing increases the strength of the clamp by 30%. The 1/2" band width and rolled edges  prevent cutting of hoses. Stamped threads leave the inside of the clamp smooth allowing it to seal completely over 360 degrees and eliminates hose damage.
