The Jerico two speed could possibly be the best short track transmission ever built. It allows you to shift under power for flawless restarts. Low gear ratios are available from 1.71 to 1.04. We recommend and stock the 1:18 for the fast restarts. Drag strip restarts may more typically call for a 1:29. With the recommended synthetic lubricant, these 52 pound transmissions have taken everything we have thrown at them. The higher low gears can take a toll on light weight clutch discs if you start on hills or slip the clutch excessively. They are available with a modified Hurst shifter from Jerico, or work excellent with the Howe two speed shifter.
